So today starts Highland Fling days. And I haven't been to this parade since my kids were in school. Ummm, that's a long time. But now we are in the "Grandparent" mode, now. Brecklyn was in the parade now as part of the Cheer group. She cheers for 5th and 6th grade football. So of course, we went. We found a spot in front of Mountain Ridge Jr. High and here are a few shots.
The crowds are gathering. At first we had a nice bit of shade but as time passed, no such luck. Thanks goodness for the trusty baseball umbrellas! As we were waiting for Brecklyn, he is an old familiar sight!
And a few more highlights.
So in the picture below, and I almost missed this, is our parade crasher, none other than Tyson and friends who decided to walk behind the Lone Peak Group. That boy cracks me up. I guess when it's a small town parade you can get away with these "shenanigans" as Jamie put it!
So here is who we "REALLY" came to see!

CANDY!
