Time "March"es on! Yes it's March and I haven't Blogged FOREVER~

It's time to catch up.  As usual, I am behind on things.  So this month had Tyson, Spencer and Logan going to the local bowling alley quite often.  I even got to go one time and I took some pictures!  We all like a STRIKE, don't we???

Tyson seems to love bowling.  He called grandpa quite regularly to go.

They all had a few gutter balls, but that's OK!

February was the 86th birthday of my dad.  And this year we were able to celebrate it on his birthday.  I think I remember that last year he had a little operation that made him feel a bit unwell.

Although he still isn't well, and may not be again, he was able to celebrate.
So here he is with his youngest greatgrandchild!

Shortly after my dad's birthday, another family member had a big day!!!
Yes, Tyson turned 15!  Nowadays, as soon as you turn 15 you can get your learner's permit.  Yes, 2 days later he headed straight to the DMV and now is the proud owner of his permit to drive a car or to "drive" his parents crazy, whichever comes first, ha ha!

And now we are the proud owners of a recliner.  The reason I had to go buy it was....Spencer.  No it wasn't Father's Day, his birthday or anything of that sort.  Spencer went skiing, which he has been doing a lot in the last 3-4 months.  He joined a senior ski group at Sundance, made some new friends and was having a great time...until Saturday Feb. 27th....I happened to just have crawled back into bed that day.  I wasn't feeling well and a cold had me right where it wanted me.  When the phone rang.  It scared me when I saw the caller ID said something about Ski patrol, Sundance.  Oh, no...

Well, the guy on the other side of the line said that "It wasn't too serious, and everything was not too bad."  Spence and some young skiing girl had collided.  Actually she collided into the back and side of him.  He didn't do the "colliding" part, that was all her. Sigh...

I asked if I needed to pick him up.  No, he was able to drive home to the doctor's office.  OK, so I keep resting, somewhat uneasily and then decided to get up, dress and clean up a bit.  Just in case...

Another call.  This time from the doctor's office.  They wheeled him over to the ER and I needed to get down there soon.  Good thing I was up and at it.  I asked Jamie to take me because I would need to drive the other car home most likely.

So after the tests, we were told 3 fractures in his ribs.  2 fractures in the same rib.  OUCH.  and a lacerated kidney.  Oh no, now that's scary.  He was admitted for 2 days into the hospital.
Here is Logan making grandpa feel happy...or was that the pain killers???  Actually they made him very sick.  And when it was time to release him, he insisted he stay.  He was not ready to go home.  Now that's a first.  Most people are overly anxious to go.

Well, they had told me to get him a recliner as rib patients have a very hard time sleeping in a bed.  Actually they have a very hard time sleeping period.  I can attest.  It reminded me of having a baby that would wake me all the time in the middle of the night.  It has been a very long, hard and painful week.  But we have a nice recliner that lifts him, heats and massages and makes the grandkids feel right at home.

Spencer had his first night out last night to see Tyson's chamber choir perform.  He did a really great job and I know Spencer was very uncomfortable but he did well, also.

He is sooo handsome!  What a heart breaker!  Well that is it.  I caught you up on the big stuff.  I will try to be faster in the meantime.

I still have my other 2 blogs and have been doing lots of book reviews!
