Dancing the Night Away!

Today was a typically busy Saturday for me.  4 baseball games, of which 2 were canceled due to rain and a 4 hour dance recital for Brecklyn.  See the program on the side.  It was fun to see her dance.  She has gotten so good.  It seems all my grandkids do everything really well.  Proud of them!

Here she is with her goodies!

Here is Tyson on the right side, second row, 3rd from the right side.  He's singing!  And is in the 8th grade boys choir and sings BASS!  Good grief!  Didn't have a clue, really.  He auditioned for 9th grade Troubadour singers and another choir, was it Acapella?  Not sure but he made both choirs.  You get a surprise every day!

Last week we drove to Idaho Spud country for a baseball tournament.  It was cold, rainy and a bit windy but he managed to be able to play all his games.  Tyson's team won the first game and lost the last 3.  Sigh, Oh. Well, such is life.
After game 1.  Congratulations!
Two games were in American Falls, Idaho.  Here is the pretty lake.  There was a cafe down by the Marina where we had breakfast and lunch.

The boys having lunch at the Marina cafe.
Here's a picture of the cute bed and breakfast that we had hoped to stay at, but the owner's husband had surgery and it would have been difficult for her.  So we stayed at a motel at the edge of town.  It was not this nice, so I didn't take a picture of it.  But it was cheap!

This looks fun, maybe???

The following day was Mother's Day and we grabbed a moment to take a 4 generation picture at my mom's house.  3 moms and the mother of my future "great" grandchildren.  Whew what a scary thought!!!
And we have been to several of Logan's baseball games too.  Today their team won against the best team in the league, Jamie told me.

And little man got a much-wanted haircut.  Isn't he cute with that blonde head of his?
And a hug for grampa after the dance concert.  Awww.  I like that alot !  So that's the catching up part and tomorrow is Spencer's bday!

Dancin' the Day Away or "Grandma Duty Call'

Yesterday afternoon Jamie was judging at a Dance competition.  Brecklyn was also in 3 numbers at the competition.  Here is a picture of her 2nd number.  Pretty girls!
This is the first number called Minions.  It was hip-hop.  It was grandpa's fave.

Here they are in the sidelines.
Up on the top row in the judges box, sits mama.  So I get to help Breckie with getting to her places and costumes.  She did pretty well, though I must say.

Breck's Big Day!

Yesterday was a big and long day.  We started out the day with Brecklyn's performances at Herriman High School.  It is at the foot of the Bingham Copper mine.  This in itself is an interesting thing to see, Although I wouldn't want to live there on a windy day!

But that wasn't what we went out there for.  Here is the real thing:

Brecklyn got a 1st place on her solo and two 1st places with her group.  THEN SHE WON 4th PLACE of ALL the SOLOS that performed, not just in her age group or category.  It was 4th place in solos OVERALL.  We were very proud!  Here she is with her trophy and tiara.  She's a cute little princess!  Good job, sweetheart!

All Moms Gotta Brag a Little Bit!

I am posting a link here because I couldn't post the video itself.  This is my daughter's dance group, Diamond Dance Company.  They perform within Utah at different religious functions.

My daughter is the "pretty one"  Ha ha!
Here is a picture of where it all started, dare I say how many years ago????

Catchin' Up!

As I wrote in my last 2 entries, I was having a real struggle logging into my blog so that I could write something.  Today it worked normally as it had in the past.  I was glad because I didn't like the fact that I couldn't get into my own blog.  Google must have had some techno problems going on.  So now I will post some pictures in no particular order to show what we have been up to.  And that is below:

Logan's last soccer game was last week.  Here he is, arms held high after the first goal

He's keeping track.  Here is 2.

Here's 3!
Getting a little tangled with the ball...
 Go Logie, go!

Hard-workin' players, like Logan, get ouchies.  We HATE ouchies, very, very much...
But we don't let them break our spirit.  And HOPEFULLY not our bones!
It was another great game and the last of the season!
Brecklyn had a ballet performance and did her usual great performance.  It is the last one of the year.

Pretty, prima ballerina!
I am soooo sorry I missed the evening performance...:(

The garden finally had one Sunny day without rain so that we could get the garden in...
Spence did a great job and Tyson helped on the first day they planted.  Now the little seeds are popping up through the rocky soil of Highland.
And between the rainy days, we squeeze in a little baseball with Tyson!
Casey at the bat!
And that's all for today.  But all in all, a busy active week for this ol' granny!
