May Events

The Hope of America is a yearly event for 5th graders. This year was Brecklyn's opportunity and here she is after the performance. An Osmond, don't know which one, came and sang, too. The red, white and blue shirts made a flag design, as one of the pictures shows.

First Memorial Day

Although today was not Memorial Day, but rather the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, we all had dinner at my house and then went over to the cemetery to decorate with flowers. It was a nice sunny day and was quite hot as we decorated. But not too much later a storm came. Our poor flowers. :(

We put some night lights up. One didn't work, and they were smaller than I wanted but there weren't bigger ones. I will look at another Walmart this next week. I want to drive by at night to see if they work.

A Little About Tyson Jacob

Tyson is a happy 9 year old with lots of talents and abilities. He knew the names of all the planets when he was just about 18 months old. He started talking at such an early age it was incredible. He seems to like basketball more than any sport and also enjoys baseball. He will start 4th grade in the fall of 2010. He has already traveled alot with me for his young years, to southern Utah, Texas, Germany and Switzerland. He is a real thinker and enjoys spending time with his grandpa Spencer, shooting, fly tying, golf and fishing.

A Little About Brecklyn Brianne

Brecklyn is the only girl in the family and so she has a special place in my heart. She is a pretty "Tiny Dancer" just like her mom always was. She is starting kindergarten in the fall of 2010 and just can't wait. She loves to go walking with grandma Sonja and never says no when I want to walk just a little farther. She makes friends easily and even makes friends at places such as the McDonald's playground. She has received several trophies at her dance performance competitions where her group seems to always get 1st place.

A Little About Logan Spencer

Logan is going to be in Pre-school in the fall of 2010. He is a very active 4 year boy. He enjoys soccer, just like his dad and basketball, just like his big brother, Ty. He and Ty are not at all alike and look and act totally different. It is hard to believe that they are brothers! Logan loves to play in the sandpile as my blog shows and doesn't think fishing is such a great sport. Afterall, why should it take so long just for one measly little fish? He learned to ride his bicycle at age 3 and loves to be grandpa's little buddy.

A Little About Grayson

He's here, born June 30-, on his great-grandmother's birthday. That makes him super special. 7 lbs. 3 oz. 18 1/2 inches. He's a little guy, blonde and sweet. He is definitely a "Momma's boy" and will only allow others to hold him for a very short time. Then he lets you know he is very unhappy. But I am sure this will change eventually and he will find out other people are fun and interesting too. We love this little guy and look forward to see what he thinks about his very first Christmas!
