Ty the Teen and Everything in Between!

Here is Ty with a fun present, a paper with the letter G....hmmmm.  He just won a free trip to Green Bay during the summer with grandpa and Logan.  They will go to a Packer kids camp and play football with the real Packers!  Now that's a fun gift!

Having dinner with the Family on the Sunday after his birthday.

Waiting to blow out 13 candles, 2 actually, but whose counting!  Ty wanted to know why the one was pink and they both were sparkly.  Mom must have liked the combination??

Cousins hanging out by the food!
The rest of the gang gathered around the food!

13!  A close up the pink and sparkly candles.  Ha ha!

The day before was Ty's last B-Ball game.  They won, yet again. Now they are in the championships because they only lost one game this season.  Good luck, Ty and team!
Good game, lots of action!
The audience enjoys it and also the Funyuns to eat!
Ty making a basket!
So Grayson comes over a lot now and here he is eating apples.  Do you like his apple-eating style?

Too cute!
And for me, I actually took a walk on Sunday Morning before church.  Weather has been nice and in the 60's/

See the hot air balloon?  An unusual sight for middle February.
Bikers riding to church meetings. And look at that blue sky...
I did find some unmelted snow.  But that was all I could find!

A beautiful day!

Sunrise in the Rockies

The last couple of days, I have taken my walk in the mornings, rather than in the evenings because I have some time off.  As I go I see the sun start to come up in the east just over in the AF canyon area.  It is really pretty to see, although hard to get a photo of without going blind.

Once it peaks out over the ridge of the mountains, it is just a matter of minutes and it is fully out and completely visible.  The earth must move really quickly.  It is amazing when you think about it.

What the Grandkids Taught Me

So over the years, I have tried to get some exercise by walking.  The goal is to lower bp, get less fat, get in shape and be generally more healthy.  Lately the grandkids have noticed grandma's walking routine and decided they want to join and everyday the question "Have you gone on your walk yet?" comes out and if I haven't gone, they are gonna go with.  So we round up scooters, big wheels, bikes or whatever the tranportation of the day may be.  Well, I must start by saying when you take your grandkids, or kids with you, the exercise part of the walk really disappears and it is interesting what does appear.  First, one child is 3 miles ahead, while another is equally behind.  The one from behind finally catches up by running over the back of your feet with a big wheel or other instrument of pain.  But being the sweeties they are, they ALWAYS apologize and as you limp along you say "It's OK, honey, it only hurts a little."  The far away child returns and says, "look at this or look at that".  And so we stop and look at this and that and talk and laugh.  What do we look at?  Well, via my blackberry, so excuse the bad quality, here is what we see:

We see millions of ants having their breakfast, lunch or dinner...

We see "Kornblumen Blau" as Omi would say.

We see horses too, and we also smell them a mile away!

We see the seagulls on their favorite roof top every day, literally hundreds of them.

And we see toadstool "nests"
They are a little gross...

And sometimes we decide to climb a tree or two!
So you see we spend lots of time looking and not so much time exercising, so this grandma will remain fat and happy.  But the key word here is "Happy".
