March bizziness! alias March Madness

Well, the month is about 1/2 over, maybe a bit more.  The first months of the year are flying by.  This week had records high temps of 76 degrees.  Needless to say, I thought it was wonderful.  But of course, next week won't be as good.  So, last week 3 of Jamie's kids, Logan, Brecklyn and Grayson were in The Wizard of Oz.  Their elementary school has a yearly play and this year Jamie directed and choreographed and had 3 kids involved.  What an undertaking.  Here are some pics.  The costumes were so amazing.  The play was so amazing and they all did just wonderful.
Here are the participants of the pre-show.
Brecklyn was a dancing snowflake.  So pretty.  She's in the middle.
And an apple tree.  So pretty.
There's Grayson in the yellow pants.  He's a dancing Munchkin.  He did such a great job.
Logan was a winged monkey.  He's on the right.  Isn't he scary?
And a Munchkin, too.  He's on the left.
 Here's my crew!
And with mommy director, too!
Here are a few more cast members!
It was a great nite!

Keepin' da Peace!

A couple of games ago, I was checking on Grayson and caught this cuteness!  Calm down guys, it's OK.  Just take a deep breath!

See it's all better now!

The Little German Boy!

I thought this was the cutest pose, ever!  This little boy is wearing Logan's Lederhosen and shirt that we got on our 2010 trip to Germany.  Doesn't he look like he just came from the "Motherland"?

Lego my Lego

After General Conference it was Lego time.  All the boys had some fun eating date shakes and playing Legos.

Soon they had to leave to go to the viewing at the Church for their Great-grandma Lucile Joan Hofheins who passed away last Monday 3-31-14.  This is 2 years and 2 days after Great-grandma Grace Nishimoto's passing.  Tomorrow we will go to the funeral.

TWO!

Today was Grayson's second birthday.  He and my mom share the same day.  That makes them b-day twins.  I think it's cool.  His party was at the Hofheins in Alpine.  It was a swim party!

Here he awaits his private pool, but he prefers to not get in...
Logan, now that's another matter...fear?  Are you kidding?
Breck loves it too...
And so does Ty.

Pizza is more my style....
But finally mom insists.  It really is sort of a nail-biting experience, don't ya think?

Sheesh, I really could use some more pizza right about now.  I promise not to feed it to the dog...

Well, maybe I could sorta get used to this...I'll try!
But now for the good part!
Presents! Yeah, I could really get used to this birthday thing!
Now I can race Logan and I will win!

And now, the Cake, an ice cream cake!

It's great being two!  Don't ya think!

3 Bros, 3 Boys, 3 bones

Or as the OLD expression goes, all "good" things come in "threes".  Yes if you have read my past posts, you might catch on to my title....
3 bros, Ty, Logan and Grayson
3 boys, Ty, Logan and Grayson
3 bones....all broken...
Yes, the inevitable occurred...Grayson child 3, broke his arm.  The scenario is the same, playground equipment.

Logan's was by far the worst and Grayson's probably the least serious, but none the less, they all have something in common now.  And they followed suit in the case of their dear mom, Jamie, who at 18-19 months did the same type of thing.  Like mother, like SONS!

I have a picture of Tyson but Couldn't scan it.  Something is not connecting to my computer at the moment.

Tyson's was on my birthday Oct. 29, 2010
Logan's Feb-Mar 2011
Grayson's Apr 21, 2012

No picture yet, forthcoming!  Poor little man....poor mom...

This Is Not Your House, Grandma!

Yesterday was Thanksgiving.  It was a cold day outside but the sun shone.  We were invited to the Hofheins' for dinner.  It was a really delicious meal and we had a very good time.  I have to tell you a little secret though...After Arden's sister cut the pink fruit salads that are shown above on the counter, Brecklyn went over to them and decided they looked really nummy, which they were.  So...she took a really good lick of one of the salads and I said, "Brecklyn, don't do that!"
Afterwhich I got the response, "This is NOT YOUR HOUSE, grandma!"  Can you just see her saying that in the picture???  So I guess I am only allowed to be her grandma at MY HOUSE....  I doubt that I will keep that in mind, however, she is still my granddaughter no matter where or whose house we happen to be at...
Grayson also had a little "solid" food for Thanksgiving for the first time.  I don't think his was quite so tasty and appetizing, but at least it was edible, maybe??

Well the day after Thanksgiving is my set-up Christmas day.  Usually I go all out, but Spence didn't want me to work as hard due to the fact that I have been having some health issues and so he wanted me to "Reduce and simplify"  and I did much to my own disapointment.  I felt sad about it.  Maybe things will be better next Christmas...
Well, as we were setting up, Logan came over and his "thing" is to play Legos.  Just like Brian ....
Here he is in the thick of things.

Grayson's Big Day!

Today was Grayson's blessing Day.
Here he is with his parents, Jamie and Jake.
And here is the gang after the fact at Jamie's house to have a little grub.  Greatgrandma is holding Grayson.

The food looks and tastes wonderful.
The kids eat outside, saving lots of clean-up!

The Guest of Honor enjoys the festivities in his own way!

The proud parents with their little son.

Jay, me and little Grayson

Father and Son.

The group picture didn't happen...Maybe for the next big family gathering...hmmm when will that be?  Maybe when Breck gets baptized!

Staycation 2- Utah is a Pretty State, Even Close to Home Pt 2

Kids loved chasing this little guy everywhere.  But he was just to fast.
He's just too quick.
Great-grandma sees one too.

Cute babies to feed. Brecklyn does not want to sacrifice her "funyuns". That was the only duck type thing we had.

Tyson sits over the potgut hole hoping to catch him as he pops up. Doesn't happen...Time in the dirt.  Brecklyn does not enjoy this
part...too hot, too messy.  So "boyish".

It was hot, so back home we cool off.

Brecklyn gets splashed by the boys doing "boyish" stuff again....

Sun-tan time under the basketball hoop.

Then a little picnic table ping-pong, a new invention, I am sure!

Now for some much-needed "girl-time" and we can call it a good day!
