Christmas Aftermath!

So it's been a busy time.  Isn't it always busy?  Yes, I don't know how anyone could be bored when there is always so much to do and so little time in which to do it.

I am going to back track just a bit, first.  I somehow overlooked posting on Brian's birthday.  Here is a shot of that:
Opening presents.  We all love that!  You can see that Brian's birthday is around Thanksgiving by the pumpkin in the foreground and the Pilgrims on the little table.
Then December quickly rolled around and we got to go hear Tyson sing in the Choir at school.  Surrounded by pretty girls, of course! Then the pretty girls left and the boys all looked rather confused because they were not done singing yet.  The pretty girls brought out boutonnieres for all the male singers.
We also had a church Christmas breakfast.  We only had little Grayson and he sang in the Children's chorus.  So lots of Christmas music "events".

Then it was piano recital time!

And we had a Young Women's activity and my class, the Mia Maids were in charge.  They did a great party and it was an Italian pot luck and I would say we were pretty lucky.

And then comes Christmas Eve.  I have been trying to remember to always take a picture before the gifts are opened at which time it looks like a tornado ripped through.  Here is the calm before the storm.  Still couldn't get my dad to smile, though.  Have to work on that one.

Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus are happy to greet the shepherds.

Let the opening begin.  With this I close hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas and will have a very good New Year!

The Week in Passing...

So in the last days since my last post we have had Mother's Day, Spencer's Birthday, pre-school graduation and more and more baseball and a dance recital.   Here are a few pictures of that!
This is Brecklyn's studio doing a production number of the Newsies.  She was so cute!

Don't you think so too?
Earlier in the day, at 9:00 am, we were at Grayson's pre-school graduation.  That's his little picture on the left.  He is holding up a sign saying what he wants to be when he grows up, a daddy!  Next to him a mommy!  And similar till you get to the end and he wanted to be a paleontologist...hmmmm!.
The little brown rolls on the left are little diplomas.
Here is our proud grad and the even prouder parents!  He got a super-hero cape!  Now that's a fun thing!  (as long as he doesn't fly off any root-tops!)

He's the whole graduating class!  He was awarded the best listener award.  As they sang their songs, the boy next to him was singing very loudly.  I heard Grayson tell him he was tooooo loud!
Here is Gray with a closer view of his super-cape..

Here we are on our 40th anniversary.

Mother's Day flowers!
A few of this grandma's blessings!

And a few more of my blessings!

Lego my Lego

After General Conference it was Lego time.  All the boys had some fun eating date shakes and playing Legos.

Soon they had to leave to go to the viewing at the Church for their Great-grandma Lucile Joan Hofheins who passed away last Monday 3-31-14.  This is 2 years and 2 days after Great-grandma Grace Nishimoto's passing.  Tomorrow we will go to the funeral.

Brian Turns Another Year Older!

Today is Brian's birthday.  36!  I can't believe my little (big) turkey baby is that old.  He was my Thanksgiving Day turkey exactly 36 years ago! So we started the celebration last nite, but before that My mom, Jamie, Ty, Brecklyn and Grayson and myself went to the German Christmas Markt.  It was in another location and Grayson came for the first time.  This time Logan didn't come because of a friend's birthday party.  Below we are waiting for the show to begin!  Brecklyn is in the 2nd picture with Baerbel and Heidi working on a Christmas decoration.

While waiting for Brecklyn to make her decoration, Grayson plays games!

Here is a cute 3 some at Brian's favorite eating establishment!

Here is BJ with his requested cake, black forest, what else???
Happy Birthday Brian.

Brian's Day

Brian's favorite restaurant.  Can you guess what it is?  No, not Chuck-a-rama, but close!  It's Golden Corral!

Look at Gray's sad face...No food for the hungry.  It shouldn't be too long and you can have it all!

A trip to the dentist will fix this, maybe??

Peace and Quiet

Well, Spencer wasn't home last night because of a wedding.  Therefore last night it was Brian and me.  I had to laugh because suddenly out of the blue Brian says "Ah, no dad.  Peace and Quiet."  So there you go, now you know who is the noisy one in our place!
