Will There Be Baseball in Heaven?

So yes, will there be baseball in Heaven?  Inquiring young boys want to know!  My two oldest grandsons are doing well in baseball and have had a really busy summer with it.  Logan is using Ty's old number 7 and Tyson is now 22.  It appears that he has a nick-name to go with that and it's "Twos".

I think I have spent most of my vacation following the b-ball tournaments this season.  It's been busy with two of them actively involved and the youngest, now 5 year old brother starting T-ball.

Tyson catches quite well and is a real wall!  A few get past him, but not a lot.
Here we are at a Heber tournament.  Love this area.  But it was very hot and I just don't know how those boys deal with all the heat!
Well, I think I have come to the conclusion, that there must be some kind of baseball in Heaven.  There sure are tons of fans here on Earth.

Baseball Stars!

Tyson's team won the tournament in Herriman, Monday nite.  It was a long day with delays because of all the rain that we have been having.  Tyson is 22 and 3rd from the left.

Here they are waiting for their 1st place trophy!

Dancing the Night Away!

Today was a typically busy Saturday for me.  4 baseball games, of which 2 were canceled due to rain and a 4 hour dance recital for Brecklyn.  See the program on the side.  It was fun to see her dance.  She has gotten so good.  It seems all my grandkids do everything really well.  Proud of them!

Here she is with her goodies!

Here is Tyson on the right side, second row, 3rd from the right side.  He's singing!  And is in the 8th grade boys choir and sings BASS!  Good grief!  Didn't have a clue, really.  He auditioned for 9th grade Troubadour singers and another choir, was it Acapella?  Not sure but he made both choirs.  You get a surprise every day!

Last week we drove to Idaho Spud country for a baseball tournament.  It was cold, rainy and a bit windy but he managed to be able to play all his games.  Tyson's team won the first game and lost the last 3.  Sigh, Oh. Well, such is life.
After game 1.  Congratulations!
Two games were in American Falls, Idaho.  Here is the pretty lake.  There was a cafe down by the Marina where we had breakfast and lunch.

The boys having lunch at the Marina cafe.
Here's a picture of the cute bed and breakfast that we had hoped to stay at, but the owner's husband had surgery and it would have been difficult for her.  So we stayed at a motel at the edge of town.  It was not this nice, so I didn't take a picture of it.  But it was cheap!

This looks fun, maybe???

The following day was Mother's Day and we grabbed a moment to take a 4 generation picture at my mom's house.  3 moms and the mother of my future "great" grandchildren.  Whew what a scary thought!!!
And we have been to several of Logan's baseball games too.  Today their team won against the best team in the league, Jamie told me.

And little man got a much-wanted haircut.  Isn't he cute with that blonde head of his?
And a hug for grampa after the dance concert.  Awww.  I like that alot !  So that's the catching up part and tomorrow is Spencer's bday!

Warm, sunny Weekend------UNTIL!

So we went down to Saint George for Tyson's baseball teams' tournament.  Unfortunately, they lost all 4 games, but oh well, those are the rough times we all go through in life.  Doesn't mean we aren't good, just that we will have to try harder again the next time.  Sometimes, too, it is bad umpires and really bad calls.  Yes, there were quite a few of those!

Two of the games were in Mesquite, Nevada.  It was pretty nice weather the whole time we were there.  We left for home just after 4:00 in the afternoon from St. George.  It had begun to cool down just a bit before we left.

The ride to Mesquite is very pretty!

Here is a shot in St. George.  I love palm trees.  Nice memories of my teenage years.
And of course, the reason we came down here in the first place!
My handsome grandson.
Then we drove home and got stuck in a snowstorm.  It was all good till we got to Beaver, Utah.  And as usual we hit bad weather there.  It started blowing and snowing from one minute to the next.  Jamie and her family were about an hour behind us.  We texted them to go no farther than Beaver, but they came and had some troubles on the road.  But she posted on Facebook and so you may have seen her post.  We all stayed overnight in a motel in Fillmore.  They had nice comforters and a nice breakfast.  It was so cold when we left in the morning, but the roads were pretty good.  But I am glad that we didn't go any farther.  We were all a bit tired and frazzled!

Fall Ball

Today was the first day of "Fall Ball" although it was more like summer ball.  But the team played well.  It was a close game and they won by 2 runs.  Tyson played well and it is always lots of fun to be there and watch.  Logan started football today, but I decided to stay home.  It was pretty hot.  Here are a few pictures.
Here is the grandpa club watching their grandsons.
They played closed to the copper mine.
Here's Tyson getting ready for a nice little hit.
5-3 win and high fives for all.  It's always nice to see the grands succeed!

Baseball Tournament Heber Valley

Here are some shots of the baseball games in Heber.  Although we lost, it was fun, hot and nice.  It was the 4th of July, by the way, and this is the "Great American Pastime", no?
Getting some coaching.

Tyson at bat.
Lunchtime!
The 4th of July fashionista!  Notice the stripes and the patriotic bow extending beneath the blonde fireworks on top of her head!  Yes, a true fashion statement!  There were also girls with large black moustaches in the spectator area, as well!  Also a patriotic group!
Having fun at the pond, in more ways than one...
Then another game.  Well, that was the 4th of July.  In a nutshell and then I had to go home and slice strawberries.  Now that's another story!  Or the next blog update.  I have been very busy with that today!

Scorchers win the Championship of Salem League!

Last nite the Scorchers had a great win!  It was the championship of the Salem League.  And how exciting since Logan's team also won their championship.  Congrats team!

Here some pictures!

It was a bit scary because they didn't start out on top but they rallied and got the lead and held it throughout the game.

Here's Ty getting his champion's shirt.  No trophies, too bad...
Here's the happy team!
Father and son.
