June is Always So So SOOOOO Busy!

So June is a busy and somewhat expensive month for us.  Birthday's, Grayson and Omi on the 30th and Logan on the 22nd.  Father's Day.  My parents' 65th Wedding Anniversary and sports, and, and, and!

But now its July and baseball is winding down, a little and there are no birthdays in our family that I recall...

So here are some pictures of these special events!

So there were some of Logan's fun things to get.

Doesn't take too much to make this little 5 year old happy on his day!

Here they are on their 65th wedding anniversary.  Happy day, you two.  My dad has had more than a share of health issues in the past years, so we weren't sure about how he would be feeling today.  He does the best he can.

Where it says BYOP=Bring your own Pet groomers ha ha!

We thought this was an antique store, but actually a restaurant.  Maybe they should change the sign.

So Spence and I have been doing my little "Bucket Lists" as we go to the tournaments.  It's made the event a little more fun, specially when we go to places we don't go to on a regular basis.  We did this this weekend for the Heber tournament and drove through little and cute Midway, which is a Swiss village.  We vowed that we would go to Swiss Days this year.  Hopefully we can.  It is such a cute town and then we went to the Heber Old Town that is a little mini wild west village.  We ate at Soldier Hollow Golf Course and that was fun.  But then we saw there are nice places to eat at the Old Town.  The western gal above was at the Heber station signing autographs on her latest cd's that she sings on.  I checked out the name and didn't remember.  But she's a western singer.

Birthday Twins

So my mom turned 85 and my grandson turned 4 on the same day.  We spent the evening at the Golden Corral and had "all you can eat".  They still serve the best rolls there!
Birthday singers.  Grayson and Omi are being 'serenaded' to.  Grayson is loving it!
Presents are always fun!
So a shared birthday cake moment as they both blow out their "own" candles. Can you imagine if the cake had a combination of 85 and 4 candles- 89 total on it!  My house would have gone up in smoke or at least the smoke alarm would have blown a gasket!
Birthday kids!
Four generations of girls in the same genealogical line.
A photo bomber, of course!!  And we all know who this is!
And all the men/boys.  Of different genealogical lines.  This was their silly shot.  Tyson is making a face, of sorts.  I tried to get my dad to smile.  But oh well...

Gone With the Wind....Highland weather!

My poor parents had a rough time due to the bad wind storm that we had yesterday.  They had a Navajo willow in their backyard standing next to the wooden fence.  This is the result of the big winds that blew through Highland, and most of Utah yesterday!

As you can see the tree will have to come down.  Hopefully the clean-up will be done soon... At least there was no one hurt and no homes damaged, only the fence and the tree.

Happy Mom's Day to my Mom and my Daughter

Here is a picture of my mom, my daughter and me with Brecklyn the mother of my future great-grandkids.  (in the far future, of course!) I also wanted to get the 4 girl generations finally all together.  Tried once before and it just didn't happen.

So here are the mom's on Mom's Day, a very windy and cold Mom's Day at that!

Staycation 2- Utah is a Pretty State, Even Close to Home Pt 2

Kids loved chasing this little guy everywhere.  But he was just to fast.
He's just too quick.
Great-grandma sees one too.

Cute babies to feed. Brecklyn does not want to sacrifice her "funyuns". That was the only duck type thing we had.

Tyson sits over the potgut hole hoping to catch him as he pops up. Doesn't happen...Time in the dirt.  Brecklyn does not enjoy this
part...too hot, too messy.  So "boyish".

It was hot, so back home we cool off.

Brecklyn gets splashed by the boys doing "boyish" stuff again....

Sun-tan time under the basketball hoop.

Then a little picnic table ping-pong, a new invention, I am sure!

Now for some much-needed "girl-time" and we can call it a good day!

Staycation 2- Utah is a Pretty State, Even Close to Home

We are always Hungry.  Mutual Dell supplied the place and grandma provided the grub.  I don't think anyone was hungry after the picnic.

A little ride to Tibble Fork.  Too bad grandpa didn't supply us with the rods and reels...
The baby liked it too.  Slept through the whole thing.  Got a little bug bite or something.  He be fine.  Notice we are on the 4 generation trip today.  Great-grandma, momma and the kids. And of course, grandma.
