Little Tenderfoot!

Yesterday Tyson got his 11 year-old Tenderfoot award in Scouts.  He is growing up too fast for me.  He also did the flag ceremony.  It's always fun to see them achieve little milestones in their lives.  The highlights of being a grandma!
Getting ready for the posting of the colors!

Here they are, checking out the photos.  A cute bunch of guys!

Getting the goods!

The proud family!

Mom gets her pin!  Gosh, I still remember being the mom so many years ago!  How do the years pass so quickly...
Good job Ty, proud of you!

Cuzzins!

Then just shortly after I left the party, we were expecting my 2nd cousin from Germany and her husband.  They are traveling around the western US and it was the day they would be visiting us.  We went out to dinner at Pie Pizza Cafe in celebration of Breckie's birthday.  It was fun, a bit noisy, but I guess that means everyone is having a good time.
Then back to my house for conversation and refreshments.

A gift from Regina with musical card!

And in the morning it was off to Moab and Arches.  Short and quick trip.  Then we went to church and then the Church "walk-about"  the last of the season.  It was nummy and nice.  Now it's late, I'm tired and goin' to watch some TV!  Tomorrow back to work...

Aftermath!

Ok, so after the baptism comes the birthday slash baptism party!  Jamie spent hours prepping for this one.  So little Brecklyn give her a BIG hug and a kiss for this one!

The rainbow!

The scripture cake! Inside the layers were the colors of the rainbow.  So pretty!

The food (more was coming, this was just the start!)
More food!

Cute!

Italian soda bar...make your own, if you dare!

Admiring the work!

The gangs all here!
Gifts galore!

The mismatch bike!  A real Breckie gift!

And the candles!  Happy Birthday, dear granddaughter!

Brecklyn's Baptism!

As Jamie's little sign says: It's great to be 8!  And that it is! Brecklyn was baptized right on her 8th birthday.  A very exciting event for her.

When we arrived the boys were together trying to keep Grayson happy.  However, it wasn't his happiest day.  That can always make some stress, but the big guys did their very, very best!
Almost ready to go!
Signing our names!

Waiting!

In her pretty white dress, a gift from grandma and grandpa!

Missing a few people but caught as many as I was able!

Cute family!

Church Social!

So right after Logan's game we went to a church social.  It was a Bar-b-q and those are always fun and tasty.  I didn't have even one minute to make something to bring to it.  But I guess that sometimes that happens and can't be helped.  Here a few random shots!
The food line!  We arrived a little late, but got there, none-the-less.
A little game of horseshoes, I remember my dad used to like to do that when he was young.

Good grub!
Real good grub! Compliments of Lee Coleman.

A little dessert is always nice!  Apple pie....mmmmm.

Busy But Fun!

This was a busy weekend.  It started at Logan's soccer game in Orem.  Here is a "signature" shot of Logan.  Curled tongue while running.  I hope he never "injures" himself doing that...  Jamie said, he inherited this from his dad.  And I noticed that she might be right! Here a few more shots of the Ranger's soccer game.  Logan is #73.
Going for the gold!

Spectating and munching too...

I'm on it!

HOT TODAY!
Sittin' out...not our favorite thing...
There's that tongue, again!

I'm there!

So those were a few highlights from the game...now onto other things!

Bama Girl is Back!

Well, the trip from Alabama is over and I came back to this:
Yes, the zucchini has run a-muck.... What does one do with such a monstrosity...??  It must weigh 6 lbs.  Oh well, zucchini cake for everyone!  Oh, while I was in "Bama", for those who really, I mean really know me....I ate Southern fried catfish on Saturday night.  AND I DID NOT DIE...How can this be, you ask?  Because I thought from the looks of it that it was FRIED CHICKEN NUGGETS or something of that sort.   Not until I saw people putting white stuff on it, did I realize I had made a fatal mistake...Had I known what this was, I know I would have abstained.  It must be against "someone's religion"  don't you think????  There really outta be a law...disguising catfish to look like chicken tenders....
Here is the buffet table!  Everything was nummy, and there was plenty to fill us all up!
Here are the hungry genealogists.
