Birthday Bash

Spencer chose a Japanese restaurant in Orem, called Yamato for his birthday dinner. We got lots and lots of food. We gained about 20 lbs. We really needed that ... anyway the food was really good and we had fun and I think we all enjoyed the evening very much. We got home to a beautiful Black Forest Cake. It was beautiful..........but it tasted AWFUL. We figured out that the awful taste was SALT instead of the normal ingredient, sugar which is much better than a cup or two of SALT in your cake. Whew. This is the first time no one ate their cake. I wonder why...I called the place where I bought it and get my money back tomorrow. So that is that story.

Tyson was very hungry!

salt is good for a sore throat. I don't believe anyone had one, however....

Soccer Action

Logan is number "4" and he loves soccer.

He is a "True Hofheins". Which means SOCCER! SOCCER! and more SOCCER!

It seems to be the family sport.

Happy Mom's Day to my Mom and my Daughter

Here is a picture of my mom, my daughter and me with Brecklyn the mother of my future great-grandkids. (in the far future, of course!) I also wanted to get the 4 girl generations finally all together. Tried once before and it just didn't happen.

Logan 'd Man!

Well, today Logan had his soccer game in the blazing sun. The first hot day of the year. I spent a few nice hours with Jamie this morning and then we went to the game. Logan was great. He apparently knows what he is supposed to do, because he made maybe 4-5 goals today. Good job! That was fun for him, I am sure!

Dance America at Juan Diego HS

It was fun watching Brecklyn do her 3 numbers yesterday. She really has them down well. Before her first performance we found out that there was a delay so we all went to dinner and In 'n Out Burger (lots of good nutrition here...) and then we went to the school and waited till she danced. I have three cute videos of her dances and wish I had the patience to upload them.

A Little About Tyson Jacob

Tyson is a happy 9 year old with lots of talents and abilities. He knew the names of all the planets when he was just about 18 months old. He started talking at such an early age it was incredible. He seems to like basketball more than any sport and also enjoys baseball. He will start 4th grade in the fall of 2010. He has already traveled alot with me for his young years, to southern Utah, Texas, Germany and Switzerland. He is a real thinker and enjoys spending time with his grandpa Spencer, shooting, fly tying, golf and fishing.

A Little About Brecklyn Brianne

Brecklyn is the only girl in the family and so she has a special place in my heart. She is a pretty "Tiny Dancer" just like her mom always was. She is starting kindergarten in the fall of 2010 and just can't wait. She loves to go walking with grandma Sonja and never says no when I want to walk just a little farther. She makes friends easily and even makes friends at places such as the McDonald's playground. She has received several trophies at her dance performance competitions where her group seems to always get 1st place.

A Little About Logan Spencer

Logan is going to be in Pre-school in the fall of 2010. He is a very active 4 year boy. He enjoys soccer, just like his dad and basketball, just like his big brother, Ty. He and Ty are not at all alike and look and act totally different. It is hard to believe that they are brothers! Logan loves to play in the sandpile as my blog shows and doesn't think fishing is such a great sport. Afterall, why should it take so long just for one measly little fish? He learned to ride his bicycle at age 3 and loves to be grandpa's little buddy.

A Little About Grayson

He's here, born June 30-, on his great-grandmother's birthday. That makes him super special. 7 lbs. 3 oz. 18 1/2 inches. He's a little guy, blonde and sweet. He is definitely a "Momma's boy" and will only allow others to hold him for a very short time. Then he lets you know he is very unhappy. But I am sure this will change eventually and he will find out other people are fun and interesting too. We love this little guy and look forward to see what he thinks about his very first Christmas!
