Logan 'd Man!

Well, today Logan had his soccer game in the blazing sun.  The first hot day of the year.  I spent a few nice hours with Jamie this morning and then we went to the game.  Logan was great.  He apparently knows what he is supposed to do, because he made maybe 4-5 goals today.  Good job!  That was fun for him, I am sure!

Thoughts From My VT's

Here is a thought - quote- from Mother Teresa.  I need a few good thoughts now and then.  Click to enlarge and it will be easier to read.

Dance America at Juan Diego HS

It was fun watching Brecklyn do her 3 numbers yesterday.  She really has them down well.  Before her first performance we found out that there was a delay so we all went to dinner and In 'n Out Burger (lots of good nutrition here...)  and then we went to the school and waited till she danced.  I have three cute videos of her dances and  wish I had the patience to upload them.

Grandma Hair

Brecklyn was over this morning.  She went and found a hair comb and asked me if I had ever used it before.  I said, "Yes, I have".  She replied, "Oh, then if I use it, will I get grandma hair?"

I will Never Complain About A "Boring" Day EVER AGAIN!

http://jakeandjamie.blogspot.com/2011/04/miracles-do-happen.html

The link above tells it all.  Wow...someone is looking out after my family.  And they did a really good job of it today.  Whereever and whomever, thank you with all my heart!
I can't imagine how the story that you will read at this link could have ended, but it probably wouldn't have been a happy ending had there not been some divine intervention taking place.

A Busy Week For Me

Sometimes there are days when I wish I could clone myself.  So many things to do, places to and things to do, not to mention go to work...
This week is the week before Easter and I got stuck with a 6 day work week and that didn't help things at all because I always am the one who has the Easter Dinner and activities, etc.  So... what happened this week?

Well, at Relief Society, Jamie taught her coupon class.  Let's face it...I do real well with the few coupons I have, if I remember to use them or that I even have them...so that is it for me.  I just would not have the time to do this.  Too hard for me.

Then another baseball game at the Alpine ball park.  Very cold...brrrrr!

Now, I am tired and ready to sleep.  Tomorrow I work, have to miss Logan's soccer game. :( and then it's Easter.  When will I find time to fix dinner, and prepare for the Egg hunt?  And the weather is supposed to be bad, how sad.  But it will be fun and of course, we all know the real meaning of Easter and wish you all a wonderful Easter Sunday!

Evidence Seen and Unseen!

The scene you are witnessing is me taking a picture of my glass front door.  If you look carefully there is a "hand" which appears in the middle of the picture.  I had seen it for a while.  I don't know when it first appeared or HOW??? As Ty was over today and the heavy door was open, I could clearly see "the hand" and thought, who did that.  I said to Ty, "go put your hand over that".  He did, it fit like a glove.  I said to him, "Aha! That's who left that mark!"  He said, "I don't remember ever doing that!"  But the DNA was there and he couldn't deny it!

That Time of Year Again!

I have learned a lesson or two about getting garden plants.  First, that getting starts sometimes is MUCH better for us than just seeds.  Why, because in Highland, it's cold longer in the spring.  Sometimes we just get those babies popping up through the ground when the killer frost comes, and we start all over again.  With plants I seem to have better luck on that department.  Secondly, sometimes my seeds don't ever sprout.  I don't know why.  Once, twice, maybe a few more times I planted some seeds and Spence thought they were weeds sprouting and he cleaned them all up nicely...which is what he recently did with some iris starts I planted.  He thought it was a big weed or something.  I just can't win!
Today Tyson went with me and wanted to grow some plants.  So we went and he got strawberries and a lily plant.  We got on our gloves, dug and planted them nicely in pots.  Watered and then took them home.  He was so cute as we were talking and said that he was so happy that I was helping him learn a little about gardening.  He says he loves it.  He wants a corner of his family garden just for his own little crops.  He was proud as he could be as he took his plants home.  He is a keeper!

An Old Game Comes Out to Play!

Sometimes its fun to put the nintendos away and do some old-fashioned stuff!  The kids liked it, had fun and did something they hadn't seemed to have done before.  My problem?  I couldn't quite remember all the rules.  But it was easy to make 'em up as you go!

A Bumper Crop of Popcorn!

Yes, Logan has a plan for this year's garden!  Popcorn!  After popping the popcorn and finding some "old maids" he wanted to save them for the garden.  So, out in the hot August sun, watch out this summer!  There will be lots of poppin' going on out there!
