A Little Trip Down South in Utah's Dixie!

Well, the boys just got back from Green Bay to have a little trip and so those of us that remained home needed to have a little trip, as well!  So we did a little repeat of a couple of years ago down in the St. George area.  It was really fun.  Jamie, Brecklyn, Grayson and I loaded up the Sienna and took her for a spin!

We made a little pit-stop at Cove Fort.  Here we are checking out the fort and the pioneer lifestyle.  These are my little pioneers!

These trees are very, very old.  As old as the Fort about the year 1867.  They are deteriorating and are held together with cables.  We have a tree like that in our yard too.  It has a cable so that it won't crack and split.  I suspect that is why they are cabeled, also.

After the Cove, we are hungry.  This ain't your Highland Subway, baby!

Grayson and Brecklyn visit the statue of their famous fore-father, Jacob Hofheins, pioneer, settler of Parowan, member of the Mormon Battalion.  And here he is!

 

 

 

We finally arrive at the condo and the family enjoy a little swim!

It was a bit windy and so they gave us 4 tickets to the next show for free!  What a classy place!

All you can eat, pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, rice, salad, nummy rolls, grilled pineapple, beans, ice cream sundaes, drinks.  Nice!  There was even a kid's "menu".

After dinner we went to take some pictures.

The stage before the show starts.  Then just you wait!  Water on stage!  Amazing.  Sorry no pictures of the set during the production.  Let me say that it was unbelievable, the water, the black-lite sequences, the aerials, the special effects.  Incredible.  Can you see the springs in the back of the stage???

 

It was such a fun show!  Loved it!  The actors were auditioned in NYC.  Not your local small-town actors!  Really a wonderful way to spend an evening!
